100 Tombs in Pondok Ranggon TPU Are Expired

Besides controlling fictitious and booking tombs, East Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-dept also controls tombs that are neglected over three years by the heirs or expired.

Renewal cost is cheaper, which is only Rp 80-100 thousand per three years

Head of East Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-dept, Christian Tamora Hutagalung ensured that expired tombs are rampant in 30 public cemeteries (TPU). But only a few tombs have been recorded from Pondok Ranggon TPU.

Tombs in Jakarta will Be Checked Routinely

Of the 64,000 plots of tomb, more than 100 of them are expired. This is because more than three years, the heir does not maintain their tombs. Whereas, according to Bylaw 3/2007 on public cemetery, every heir must renew the cemetery licensing (IPTM).

"Renewal cost is cheaper, which is only Rp 80-100 thousand per three years. Yet a lot of heirs do not want to process it thus we consider the tomb is expired," he stated, Tuesday (7/26).

His sub-dept also denied the expensive cost for IPTM processing. Residents can process through the PTSP, because the system is online, but not from the broker.

To anticipate this case, he will intensively conduct socialization, starting from banner, pamphlet and leaflet. This is done, because many people do not know it, including civil servant (PNS).
